How to use the invoice generator
- 1
Enter your business details
Fill in your business name, address, and optionally upload a logo. These appear at the top of the invoice and identify you as the sender.
- 2
Add your client's information
Enter the client name and billing address. If your client is a company, use the legal business name — it matters for their accounting.
- 3
Set invoice number, dates, and currency
Pick a sequential invoice number, set the invoice date and due date, and choose your preferred currency. The due date defaults to 30 days — adjust to match your payment terms.
- 4
Add line items
Describe each product or service, set the quantity, and enter the unit price. Add as many rows as needed. Subtotals calculate automatically as you type.
- 5
Apply tax and add notes
Enter a tax percentage (0 if not applicable). Use the Notes field for payment instructions, bank details, or any terms. The live preview updates instantly.
- 6
Download or print as PDF
Click 'Download / Print PDF'. In the print dialog, choose 'Save as PDF' to get a file, or send directly to a printer. The invoice is styled for A4 / Letter paper.
Frequently asked questions
Is this invoice generator really free?
Yes — completely free with no signup, no watermark, and no usage limits. All calculations and formatting happen in your browser; we never see your invoice data.
How do I save the invoice as a PDF?
Click the 'Download / Print PDF' button. Your browser's print dialog will open — select 'Save as PDF' (or 'Microsoft Print to PDF' on Windows) as the destination. The invoice is formatted for A4/Letter paper with print-optimised styles so headers, totals, and line items all fit cleanly.
Can I add my company logo?
Yes. Click 'Upload logo' under Your Business and select a PNG, JPG, or SVG file. The image is converted to a local data-URL and embedded directly in the preview — nothing is uploaded to any server.
Which currencies are supported?
The generator supports USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD, JPY, INR, BRL, MXN, and SGD. The correct currency symbol is shown on every line item, subtotal, tax, and total in the preview.
How do I invoice clients and collect payment through my website?
ZonedWeb builds a real WooCommerce store on WordPress — meaning you can list services, let clients pay online, and send automated email receipts without any third-party tool. Start free and upgrade when you are ready to accept payments.
